5-A-Day Club Message The New School Prayer |

Now I sit me down in school, For this great nation under God, If Scripture now the class recites, And anytime my head I bow, Our hair can be purple, orange or green, The law is specific, the law is precise, For praying in a public hall, In silence alone we must meditate, We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible, We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong, We can get our condoms and birth controls, But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, It's scary here I must confess, So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Amen --- This poem was posted by a teen on the Bagdad Public Any thoughts? |
