Community of Christ Auditorium Pipe Organ
The Community of Christ Auditorium pipe organ was designed specifically for this chamber by Aeolian-Skinner in 1959. It has 110 ranks which yields a grand total of 6,334 pipes. The largest pipe stretches from floor to ceiling, and the smallest pipe is smaller than a pencil.   To this day, the Community of Christ Auditorium Organ is still one of the largest pipe organs in the United States.

During our visit, we enjoyed an organ recital performed by one of the Community of Christ World Church principal organists. After the recital, the audience was invited up to the instrument for a demonstration of how a pipe organ works, which was followed up by a very informative question and answer period.   ...Very cool!   - Photo by Harry Barth.
