		Owned and maintained by Community of Christ, the "Homestead" was the first residence for Joseph Smith and his family in Nauvoo. The building incorporates an original log cabin (Circa 1803) which functioned as home to an Indian Agent. It was purchased by Joseph and Emma in 1839. Joseph added a Keeping Room/Office in 1841. Joseph III added the 2-story section in 1860.
