Historic General Store - Lower level. Displayed in this room are items similar to those for
sale during the 1842-1850 time frame. Many items were identified from the "Entrys of
Original Day Book" as a resource. On the left is Bishop Newel K. Whitney's Counting Room in
the rear of the building.
On the second floor was a council room, and Joseph's office. It was here, Joseph Smith Jr. blessed his son Joseph Smith III, to be his successor as president of the church. |
