		Hyrum had thrown his body weight against the door, to keep the unlawful mob out of the room. The first shot fired by the mob was supposed to break the lock on the door. The mob was unaware that the door latch was already broken. The second shot came through the door and struck Hyrum in the face and killed him. You can see these bullet holes today.
